Aurora Watch is a web-based app for watching solar activity and aurora prediction which are supported by the iPhone, iPod touch and Mac OS X.
Aurora Watch displays a set of gauges, signs and images in different wavelenghts of the suns actual contition.
How's it working ?
Aurora Watch gathering data and images form different free webpages which shows you the actual solar- and aurora-activity and displays it in this handy web-app.
What are the gauges show you ?
For a heavy and strong aurora activity, the needle of the gauges should be in the red area. This is no aurora prediction, this only shows you the actual data ! For aurora prediction, look at the traffic-lights and status-boxes.
Tip
Rotate your iPhone to the landscape mode to see some more images of the sun in different wavelenghts. Try it !
To install Aurora Watch, tap the + button below and choose Add to Home Screen.
